Outdoor rattan furniture Known as many names including wicker garden furniture, this product is incredibly popular due to the fact it is virtually maintenance free. Our all weather rattan furniture can be left outside in the depths of winter with no cover to protect it.
2012 Fibre Colours: The 2012 outdoor rattan fibres are available in Black, Silver Grey, Natural, and Java Brown. The sales trends so far show that black is once again the most popular colour.
What is Rattan?
Rattan is a type of climbing palm that is very long and ideal for continuous strips of reed, used to make furniture such as chairs, tables and sofas. This natural product is incredibly durable and can withstand extreme heat without splitting or drying out.
Unfortunately rattan is unsuitable for outdoor uses so man invented a synthetic resin material ideal to wicker weave, thus creating all weather garden furniture.
Nowadays rattan furniture or wicker furniture is the name given to both natural and synthetic materials.
Natural rattan grows in vast quantities across South-East Asia, it is biodegradable and eco friendly. Wicker garden furniture is a man made plastic product and not biodegradable, it is not Eco friendly.
Throughout our website we offer 2 different types of rattan garden furniture, either made from weaving Lloyd loom or weaving outdoor wicker.

Cushions for indoor rattan and wicker furniture:
You will find that all our rattan garden furniture come with removable cushions and covers however not all fabrics are machine washable.
All conservatory wicker suites come as part of a range with coffee tables, side tables and footstools to match. Scatter cushions are also available in different sizes; please see how we used a couple of large scatter cushion in the Belvoir collection to the right to contrast the fabrics.
Sunbrella fabric is used on most of our outdoor wicker cushions. Sunbrella is washable, fade resistant, mold resistant and there is a huge choice of colour options available.
Delivery details:
Indoor: We offer free delivery on every conservatory furniture sofa and armchair set, however we do have minimum order criteria.
Outdoor: We offer either a standard or white gloves delivery service on rattan garden furniture. A standard delivery includes the furniture to be delivered free of charge to the customers garden but the furniture will not be assembled of treated.
Our white gloves service includes delivery, assembly of furniture (if needed), and rubbish taken away. |
