For more than thirty five years Poggesi have been creating luxurious cantilevered parasols. In a small little factory just south of Florence the ultimate in sun protection is dreamt up, designed and carefully crafted so as the rest of the world can stay cool with style.

The side-arm parasol

Poggesi presents the side-arm parasol which now eliminates that pesky pole in the centre of the area. The Piazza is the top of the range parasol in this arena which allows one to adjust height and also tilt angles. Parasols can be made to cover a 5m x 4m area, which provides twenty square metres of shade at any given time in the day. These parasols are exclusively available for retail at Harrods of Knightsbridge in London. The Palerma is very similar by nature in that it is a cantilevered umbrella with a side arm; however it has a fixed height. The Aficiando range features automated parasols that work on a remote control and specialized variations including a double canopy.

Pole Umbrellas

Pogessi also manufactures regular pole umbrellas, however their charm, beauty and durability sets them apart from any other. The Grande Palazzo is the top of the range pole umbrella which is ideal for use in hotels and restaurants. It has a telescopic function which allows it to be opened and closed without moving tables and chairs. In addition, side panels can be fitted for adverse weather conditions. It is available in enormous proportions, the biggest being a 7m x 5m rectangular one. The Bambino is a smaller, more conservative version of the Palazzo, but still maintains the high standards of its siblings.

Manufactured to spec

Each umbrella is manufactured to specification at Poggesi. This includes the choice of size, valance additions and edge trim. There is a choice of twenty five different water resistant fabric colours and a frame and base colour choice of white, graphite, grey, silver brown or green. Bases can also be either fixed or free standing.
