Cane Line Furniture 2010

Cane line is a Danish company which was founded in 1986. They are one of Europe’s leading suppliers of woven furniture and also have outlets in the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Some of their most notable collections include Belmont, Hamsted and Savannah.

Belmont

The Belmont range focuses mainly on lounging and relaxing. It consists of sofas, coffee tables, sunbeds, enormous arm chairs, footstools and side tables. All are fashioned from 3mm round cane fibre in a dark coffee colour. Though the woven cane always inspires a laid back feel, the dark colouring of the furniture complimented by white finishing’s gives it an upmarket, classy feel that would be suitable for any lounge. The dynamic lines give it a modern feel while the perfectly crafted weave lays a traditional foundation.

Hamsted

The Hamsted collection consists of a number of articles woven from 2mm round cane in a variety of colours. The high back dining chairs, which are available with and without arm rests, are comfortable and stylish at the same time. These can be arranged around a dining table for outdoor parties or paired around a small side table to create a coffee nook on a patio complete with matching foot stool. Whichever way they are arranged, the articles from the Hamsted collection will create the relaxed feel that is associated with tropical paradise.

Savannah

The articles in the Savannah collection are not only beautiful but also very versatile. One could literally furnish a new room every day with a new combination of the existing modules that are available. Though there are free standing lounge chairs, there are also a variety of sofas that can be put together in different ways to suit the design of any lounge or patio. The curved lines create a comfortable homely feel while the dark woven cane maintains a heightened sense of elegance.
