Cane Line started way back in 1986. Located in Denmark, the company is headquartered in Rynkeby (Odense) on the Funen Island. Over the years they have grown into one of the leading suppliers in Europe where woven indoor and garden furniture is concerned.

The designers

The designers at Cane Line are masters of their art. Christina Strand and Niels Hvass have a very simple concept – the human form is the centre of everything that they create. They believe that when furniture is designed it should be unique, functional and comfortable. They also believe that the materials used to create the furniture along with its form are responsible for its comfort and functionality.

The collection

Cane Line has a wide range of exclusively designed furniture and accessories for your home. Their collection for 2009 includes accessories like planters, laundry baskets, screens, covers etc., while the furniture line include lounge furniture, dining chairs, garden umbrellas, sun chairs, pavilion furniture and tables. Most of the accessories are available in 2 colours either in black / white or black / tan (beige). Most of their furniture is available in black, similar to Westminster garden furnture. However there are a few designs that offer an alternate colour. The only other rattan garden furniture brand who offers this quality fibre is Dedon

The presence

Cane Line is not on a leading European brand, they also have a noteworthy presence in many of the countries around the world. Besides supplying state of the art woven furniture to Europe, they also supply furniture to countries like the United States, New Zealand, Australia and the Middle East etc. Countries in continents like Asia and Africa too have markets for their furniture. With over 60 markets already in operation, the company is still growing. They are aimed at acquiring a niche for themselves and their products in the woven furniture market.
